Your Committee
Our dedicated committee is made up of volunteers who care deeply about the club and its members. They work hard to organise events, maintain the premises, and ensure the club remains a welcoming space for everyone.
We’re here to listen. If you have suggestions, feedback, or want to get involved, speak to any committee member - we’d love to hear from you.

Interested in standing?
Our committee change once a year in June.
Any member is welcome to put their name forward, provided they have been a member for at least six months. Each nominee must also be proposed and seconded by two members, who themselves have held membership for at least six months.
We encourage all eligible members to get involved and help shape the future of our community
What’s Involved?
Being part of the committee means being actively involved in the running and success of the club. It’s a team effort, and every role - big or small - makes a difference.
Here’s a bit more about what you can expect:
- Monthly Meetings: We meet once a month (usually the first Sunday) to discuss club matters, plan upcoming events, review finances, and make decisions that help the club grow and thrive.
- Helping at Events: Whether it’s setting up a quiz night, running a BBQ, managing ticket sales, or decorating the club for a celebration, committee members lend a hand to make sure events run smoothly.
- Taking on a Role: You might choose to take on a specific position like Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Events Coordinator, or Communications Officer—or just be a general committee member who supports across the board.
- Sharing Ideas: We welcome fresh ideas and perspectives—whether it’s a suggestion for a new event, a better way to run something, or a way to reach more members of the community.
- Pitching In: Sometimes it’s the small things—updating the noticeboard, organizing supplies, answering member questions, or just making sure everything’s running as it should.
Being on the committee is a great way to make friends, give back to the community, and help shape the kind of club you want to be part of...but please remember that it involves commitment and hard work at times!
