Our Nominated Charity for 2026
Emily's Bucket List
|
This year, the club has chosen to support Emily’s Bucket List as our nominated charity.
Emily Render, granddaughter of long serving committee member Jackie Algar, was diagnosed with Stage 3 brain cancer (Oligodendroglioma) in early 2024. Since then, she has faced a challenging journey, including a brain operation at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, six weeks of radiotherapy, and sessions of chemotherapy, which concluded just before Christmas 2024. Unfortunately, in March 2025, Emily’s cancer returned. Following a recent MRI in September, her condition is currently stable. Emily and her family continue to face this journey with courage, and our club is committed to supporting her. Funds raised through our projects, including Danny and Gary’s weight-loss challenge, are going toward Emily’s Bucket List, helping to make her wishes and dreams come true. We encourage everyone to get involved and support Emily in any way they can - every donation and show of support makes a difference. |
